Nature Based Wellbeing Workshops
Permits
Connected To Nature will assist with obtaining any necessary permits to deliver our nature based
workshops on privately or publicly owned land. Any associated fee from the landowner will be re-charged to you at cost.. Fees for our selected sites are included in our charges.
Venues
We can also help source a suitable venue such as a hotel with suitable woodland on site. Unless otherwise agreed, any costs for hire of outdoor or indoor space and catering will be billed directly to your organisation by the provider with your prior approval.. All costs associated with our selected sites are included in our fee.
Weather
Our sessions go ahead in all types of weather unless there is an adverse weather warning, in which case the session will be cancelled and we will offer a full refund or you can book onto the next available session.
Pets
Unfortunately you can't bring along your dog on the session as sometimes there are livestock around or other participants may feel uncomfortable.
Medical Conditions
If you have a medical condition, or take prescribed medication for one, and are not sure if this will affect you on the session, then please speak to your GP first. The walk tends to be no more than a mile and at a slow and mindful pace, but may include some small hilly areas depending on the location. We end the session with a tea ceremony so please make us aware of any allergies you may have. We will send you a medical questionnaire prior to the session and please make us aware of anything so we can look after you properly during the session.
Clothing and Equipment
It's best to bring along layers so you can add some or take some away depending on temperature changes. We will be standing and sitting during the session and bodies can cool down quickly. Please bring a waterproof coat just in case it rains, and a pair of good walking type shoes or boots. as there might be some rain. We will provide you with sit mats to use during the session. Please also bring water and sun protection, and any snacks, walking aids or medications you might need. For your own safety we do reserve the right to refuse participation in the session if you are not wearing appropriate clothing, but if this is a barrier to you to attend these sessions please contact us to talk through the options.
